Journeyman Electrician
Purpose
The Lead Journeyman Commercial Service Electrician plays a critical role in delivering safe, reliable, and high‑quality electrical service to our commercial and industrial clients. This position is responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, completing installations, and ensuring all work meets code and company standards. As a senior field professional, the Lead Journeyman provides technical expertise, exceptional customer service, and leadership on service calls and project tasks.

Job Summary
Electric Advantage is seeking an experienced and dependable Lead Journeyman Commercial Service Electrician to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of electrical systems, including panels, lighting, motor controls, and conveyor equipment. The ideal candidate brings at least five years of hands‑on experience, holds a current journeyman license, and is comfortable working independently in fast‑paced commercial environments. A take‑home vehicle is provided for qualified candidates.

Duties & Responsibilities

Respond promptly to service calls and complete work within expected timeframes

Communicate with customers to understand service needs and provide accurate cost and time estimates

Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings to perform installations

Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems as required

Complete all repairs and installations in compliance with electrical codes and safety standards

Inform clients immediately if project plans need adjustment due to unforeseen conditions

Requirements & Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Current journeyman electrician license
-
Minimum of 5 years of professional electrical experience; commercial and residential background preferred

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical documents

Strong working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Must supply personal tools and basic safety gear (additional PPE provided as needed)

Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently

Strong customer service and communication skills

$30.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
